New Features in ShopSite v12 sp1

ShopSite version 12 was just updated with service pack 1 (sp1).  Some of the new features in this version include:

  • Abandoned Cart  (Pro)
    ShopSite can now prompt shoppers for an email address when an item is added to the cart. If the shopper provides an email address and doesn’t complete their order, ShopSite can email the shopper at a later date with a reminder about the items in the cart.
  • Carousel/Slideshow banner  (Pro, Manager, Starter)
    ShopSite can now display a slideshow of image links.  These are typically large images shown on the home page.
  • Product Image Zoom (Pro)
    You can now set More Info product images to be zoomable, meaning the customer can mouse over a section of the image and see it enlarged.
  • New Themes (Pro, Manager, Starter)
    There are 18 new themes in this release, all of which support responsive design (automatically resizes to fit your mobile, tablet, and computer screen.)
  • Dimensional Weight Support for FedEx and UPS (Pro, Manager)
    In addition to weight, FedEx and UPS now require that box size be used in shipping calculations.
  • New Human Validation Methods (Pro, Manager, Starter)
    Technically referred to as CAPTCHA, v12 sp1 has two new options including TYPE-IN from Solve Media.
  • New Store Setup Wizard (Pro, Manager, Starter)
    A new even easier to use setup wizard that is optimized for merchants just wanting to add order buttons to an existing site/blog or for those that want ShopSite to create all the store pages.
