Of course, even the most secure manner of entering and storing credit card information is not safe if you allow everyone at work the opportunity to access or print out the information. The best way to protect a shopper’s credit card is to never have access to it.

Unlike that famous movie quote, you are generally better off having a “secure site” seal or similar “tested” badge on your Ecommerce site.

I like to play it safe, especially online. If possible, I opt out of features that save my credit card information when I check out. If I am shopping at a merchant that I am not familiar with, I will always choose PayPal or Google Checkout if the merchant offers one of those payment options.
