ShopSite, Inc. Releases Version 6.2 of its Easy-To-Use E-Commerce Shopping Cart for the Windows Server Platform
Version 6.2 includes new payment support for eBay's PayPal.
OREM, Utah, November 6, 2002 -- ShopSite, Inc., a leading provider of easy-to-use Web catalog software, today released version 6.2 of ShopSite, the company's advanced e-commerce shopping cart application.
Windows 2000
This is the first time version 6.x has been available for the Windows 2000 platform. "We are excited to bring the ease-of-use and power of ShopSite 6 to our Windows hosting providers," said David Hills, CEO of ShopSite, Inc. Previously ShopSite v5 was the only option for servers running Windows 2000. Now Windows hosting providers can have all features in ShopSite Pro v6.x such as:
eBay's PayPal
In addition to the v6 features, new with v6.2 is support for eBay's PayPal payment method. Merchants can now easily accept payments using one of the most popular methods on the Internet. ShopSite will capture the shoppers billing information and pass it on to PayPal to complete the transaction.

Availability for UNIX Servers
ShopSite version 6.2 for Servers running Unix (Linux, Solaris/SPARC, FreeBSD, Irix, and BSDI) will be available later this month.
Upgrading to 6.2
For most merchants currently using ShopSite 6.0 or 6.1 there will be no charge to upgrade to version 6.2. Merchants can directly upgrade to version 6.2 from earlier ShopSite versions (3.x, 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x.). Merchants should contact their hosting provider for details on upgrading and to learn what fees, if any, are applicable.
