E-Commerce Vendor ShopSite Announces 64-bit Version of Leading Shopping Cart System
-Popular software adds support for over 2 GB databases.
March 1, 2016, Orem, Utah -- ShopSite, Inc., a leading provider of e-commerce shopping cart and catalog software for small to medium-sized businesses, announced the 64-bit release of ShopSite for Linux Servers. ShopSite® is an industry leading e-commerce software option for web hosting providers, for new and experienced Internet merchants, and for Web designers.
"We have had several hosting partners request a 64-bit version of ShopSite so that they would not need to install the 32-bit compatibility libraries" said ShopSite CEO David Hills. "And as a number of our merchants become extremely successful and grow they can come up against the 2 GB database size limit in our 32-bit version" added Hills.
Merchants that are wondering if they are approaching the 2 GB database size limit can check their current sizes by going to the Utilities section and clicking on Databases. Since that screen displays actual bytes, 2 GB would be displayed as 2,000,000,000.
The 64-bit release for Linux is available now and is ShopSite Version 12 Service Pack 2 Release 2 (v12 sp2 r2). In addition to the 64-bit release, 32-bit versions of Linux and FreeBSD have also been released for v12 sp2 r2.
